This year’s Wirral Sports Awards ceremony took place at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight on Thursday 13 October. Ridgeway was nominated in two categories, finishing as runners-up and receiving a trophy in both.
Ridgeway was nominated for the following awards:
Mr Sterry said: “Both nominations were thoroughly deserved. It is fantastic when students and staff are recognised for excellence.
“Last year was an incredible year of sporting success, not least in boys’ football: between them our five year teams reached a total of nine cup finals. And as Mr Metcalf wrote in the July issue of Ridgeway New Times, the year 11 boys pushed the bar exceptionally high, setting a fine example for younger students to follow.”
