Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision and at Ridgeway High School we strive to give you as much insight and information as possible to help you with this process.
Ordinarily, we organise open evenings in September along with open sessions throughout the year to enable families of year 5 and 6 students to visit the school prior to making their secondary school preference selection in October. Due to Covid-related restrictions, we — like many other schools — are not currently doing this. We have a video presentation as an alternative.
If, after watching the video, you still feel you need more information then please do contact us firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a tour with a member of our team. It will be at the end of the school day and in line with our risk assessment.

All applications for admission to Ridgeway High School for children transferring from primary school into year 7 are coordinated centrally by the local authority. To apply, visit the school admissions page of the Wirral LA site.
All requests for in-year admissions (between September and July) are dealt with by the school. Applications must be made through Wirral local authority.
While most parents/carers will be able to send their child off to start their educational journey at the high school of their preference in September, there will be a handful who may not have been allocated their preferred choice. The reason for this is usually that the demand for places is higher than those available.
If you wish to appeal to attend Ridgeway or another school, please contact Wirral LA or visit their website, which details the appeals timeline.
