A big high five for our catering team! Ridgeway’s kitchens were once again awarded a fantastic five-star hygiene rating by environmental health inspectors when they visited the school in May. It is the highest possible rating.
The role of the inspectors, working in partnership with the Food Standards Agency, is to inspect food hygiene in the school’s kitchens and check that the catering team are following food hygiene laws.
Food establishments are rated on a scale from 0 to 5, with 5 being the highest score. The rating sticker is a familiar sight in food businesses like restaurants.
