Knife Crime Awareness Week starts on Monday 18 May The national charity and community organisation Catch22 is hosting a free online Knife Crime Awareness webinar for parents and carers across Merseyside.
As part of a nationwide initiative, this invitation has been shared with schools across the region to help support families in understanding the risks and impact of knife crime on young people and communities.
The webinar will take place on Thursday 21 May from 5pm to 6pm.
It will explore what knife crime is, the impact it can have on children, families and communities, the types of weapons most commonly carried, how knives are being accessed, and the importance of early intervention, education and multi-agency safeguarding in prevention.
There will also be an opportunity for parents and carers to ask questions and access further support. Families wishing to attend can register their interest via Eventbrite by clicking this link. For further information, please contact Kai Abbotts.
