After eighteen years of distinguished service to Ridgeway High School, our headteacher, Mr Taylor, is leaving the school with a view to taking early retirement.
Mr Taylor said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ridgeway and it has been a privilege to be the headteacher. I am very proud of what we have achieved over the years and, especially, of the new school build, creating and delivering the vision for ‘Inspirational Learning’.
“I am a great believer, as I have said many times, that education is about more than academic success. The new build was an opportunity to raise everyone’s aspirations and to realise what can be achieved when we all work together: the stimulating learning environment; the rich and broad curriculum and programme of enrichment activities; the supportive, committed and enthusiastic staff; and, finally, a caring family ethos. What better place for the students to want to learn and be educated?”
Chair of Governors Mike McManus said: “We would like to wish Mr Taylor well as he moves on to the next stage of his life and thank him for all his hard work and effort and the positive impact he has had on the lives of so many people associated with Ridgeway High School.”
