Educate Awards

More recognition for excellence at Ridgeway! Thanks to our fantastic Futures programme, the school was runner-up in the Careers and Enterprise Award category at the prestigious Educate Awards this week.

Futures is the name we use for everything we do to prepare students for life after Ridgeway.

It was announced in October that the school had been nominated in the Careers and Enterprise Award category. James Tartt, who was one of the Educate Awards judges, tweeted that the standard of applications in the category was “beyond impressive” this year.

The awards ceremony took place in the magnificent setting of Liverpool Cathedral on Friday 18 November.

Mr Sterry said: “It’s always fantastic when students and staff are recognised for excellence. We are immensely proud of Futures. The programme has continued to grow and develop since we became the first secondary school in the north-west to be awarded the prestigious Quality in Careers Standard in 2019.”
