DofE Bronze Award Expedition

Well done to the more than forty students who successfully completed the Expedition element of their DofE bronze award in the beautiful surroundings of North Wales on Monday and Tuesday.

Mr Sterry wrote in this week’s newsletter:

“Their challenge involved them walking for roughly five hours – carrying all their gear on their back – from the coach stop to the campsite, setting up camp when they arrived, cooking a meal, cleaning up afterwards, cooking breakfast the next morning, cleaning up and packing everything away, and then walking for another five hours back to the coach. No wonder that they were all exhausted but exhilarated when they arrived back at school.”

Here is a selection of photos from the expedition. There will be a full feature – and more photos – in July’s Ridgeway New Times (Issue 31).
