Our new school band made up of singers and musicians from years 9 and 10 will be involved in their first concert next Thursday (14 December) at Hilbre High School – and the event organisers are inviting families to play a part too!
Christmas KaraOAKe has been organised by Oak Trees Multi-Academy Trust and involves performances from students who attend schools linked with the trust. The event starts at 6pm. Tickets cost £2 each, with all proceeds going to two fantastic local charities – the mental health charity Mind and Cash for Kids.
The event organisers are also inviting families to get involved by uploading a video clip to the trust’s Christmas KaraOAKe Instagram page.
Here is what they say:
We are welcoming entries from families of a short video clip showcasing your musical talents with a tribute or karaOAKe of a Christmas song. These can be uploaded to the oaktreesmat Instagram page. Some entries will then be selected and invited to perform on stage on the 14th! Your entry can be as theatrical as you choose, with as many people as you wish – props / outfits / sparkle… The bigger the better!!!!
Please try and post any entry by Tuesday 12 December so we can upload.
Your willingness to post the clip is with an understanding that you are happy for your act to be shared on social media – to include Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Many thanks!!!! Happy singing!
