Can You Support Us With Year 10 Mock Interviews?

Can you help us? We are looking for volunteers to support us with Year 10 Mock Interview Day, helping students get a sense of what an interview experience is like.

Our award-winning Futures programme is all about offering students impartial advice, guidance, information and support as they prepare for life after Ridgeway. For example, year 10 students will complete a week of work experience at the end of term. Before that, on Friday 11 July, they will be involved in Year 10 Mock Interview Day.

The aim of this day is to give students experience of an interview situation, with the interview itself conducted by someone from outside school who they don’t know, rather than with a teacher or member of the Futures team – just as will be the case when they have an interview for a college place, apprenticeship or job.

We are looking for volunteers from outside school to act as interviewers. The idea is to make the experience a positive, supportive and beneficial one for the students.

The event will run from about 9.45am to roughly 1.30pm. There will be no need to prepare anything in advance.

If you or a representative from your workplace are interested in taking part, please email our Futures team. Your support will be hugely appreciated.
