This year we have raised a grand total of £3,580.80 for the students’ chosen charity, Claire House. Well done and thank you to everyone for their amazing efforts and support throughout the year.
Another fantastic year of fundraising in aid of our school charity is drawing to a close. This year, students and staff have been supporting Claire House Children’s Hospice, raising money for seriously ill children and their families.
Initiatives such as special FUNd Days have been running throughout the year, helping students demonstrate values like kindness and compassion, and develop enterprise-related skills such as teamwork and decision making.
We have special Sponsor Our Staff activities planned for the final day of term. And we are delighted that – hot weather permitting! – Claire Bear will be joining us along with a representative from Claire House.
At the end of exam week in June we held a FUNd Day to celebrate – albeit a little belatedly – the Queen’s Jubilee and to take part in fundraising activities. Mr Sterry said afterwards:
“It was a lovely day, and students and staff really got into the Jubilee spirit. Overall, we raised £365 for Claire House. That’s an outstanding achievement!”
Meanwhile, our Charity Fundraising Week in the spring term raised a grand total of £1,589.13, with year 11 alone collecting an amazing £735.60.
Emma, who works for Claire House, sent us a special ‘thank you’ video, explaining how the money we raise is used.
