Here are the arrangements that we will follow if the NEU strike action scheduled for Wednesday 15 March and Thursday 16 March goes ahead:
School will be open as normal on both days for all year 11s, starting as usual at 8.28am. They will do maths, science and English, including preparation for their English spoken assessment, and coursework in other subjects.
School will also be open for lunch between 1pm and 1.35pm on both days for all students, should they wish to come in for a hot meal. Grab bags will be available to take home at the end of the day on Tuesday. Work to be completed on the strike days will be sent home with students in years 7–10 on Tuesday. It needs to be brought back in when all students return at 8.28am on Friday.
We will be running an attendance raffle on Friday. Every student in years 7–10 who attends on Monday, Tuesday and Friday next week, and every year 11 student who attends all five days, will be entered into the raffle and in with a chance of winning a great prize.
