Ridgeway High School is an all-ability mixed school for students aged 11 to 16. We ensure that students with special educational needs and/or disabilities – or other barriers to learning – feel safe and valued and are able to reach their potential.
The identification of SEN is built into the whole-school approach to monitoring the progress and development of all students.
In deciding whether special educational provision is required, the school will gather information about a student’s progress and development to make a clear analysis of the student’s needs. The school accesses specialist support and advice from external agencies, where required, in consultation with you as parents/carers.
Our SENCO is Mrs Stanaway.
Mrs Stanaway has operational responsibility for SEND provision, ensuring that SEND provision is in place for students.
Mrs Stanaway liaises with the local authority and external agencies to coordinate and review support.
Please phone or email the school office in the first instance if you would like to speak to Mrs Stanaway.
