Members of the student senior leadership team visited Ronald McDonald Arrowe Park House in early December as a way to mark our ongoing partnership with the Ronald McDonald Houses charity.
Isla and David in year 7, Elena and Alice in year 8, George and Charlie in year 9, and Maggie, Omnia, Isabella and Kisandu from year 11 – all of whom have Community responsibilities on the SSLT – received Proud nominations from Mrs Moran for representing the school so well.
Our student representatives were given a tour of the House and met some of the staff. There was also an opportunity to help decorate the House for the festive period.
Mrs Moran said: “We have worked with Arrowe Park House for a number of years now. Ronald McDonald Houses is a wonderful charity and obviously one with a very local connection, serving members of our immediate community as well as visitors from further afield.
“Many thanks to everyone at Arrowe Park House for making us feel so welcome. We had a great time.”
Many thanks, too, to Omnia and Isabella who supported the esports competitions in December, selling tickets to watch the matches as well as snacks and drinks for the spectators. We raised £30.52 for Arrowe Park House.
And our 2025 Christmas Jumper Day on the final day of term raised an additional £95.72.
Meanwhile, one thing that took place too late for us to include in the last issue was our Halloween-themed activities at break and lunchtime on the final day of the September–October half-term, which raised £100.53.
