Students in year 8 spent their Charter Day in November at the fantastic Eureka! Science + Discovery museum in Wallasey taking part in hands-on learning activities that will support work they are doing in school, particularly in geography and science.
The students’ day was organised around the museum’s three themed galleries, focusing on the human body, home and energy, and nature.
All of the activities and exhibits in the rooms were a huge hit with the students and they were thoroughly engaged with the whole experience, say Ms Logan and Mr Speers.

Meanwhile, features on the workings of the human body also link up well with biology content the students will cover in science lessons.
Particular highlights were:
Another highlight of the day was an interactive session led by one of the Eureka team called From the chew to the poo. This session was all about what is involved in eating a sandwich – from initially putting it in your mouth all the way through to the end process.
