Following on from the success of our Valentine’s Day fundraising activities at the end of last half-term, when some of our student leaders organised Valentine’s-themed fundraising activities and raised £491.09, this half-term’s fundraising activities have been based around year groups.
The aim was to give an opportunity for the students to come up with fundraising ideas themselves, led by their student senior leadership team Community representatives (whose responsibilities include charity fundraising), and supported by year teams.
To give just a couple of examples, students have been selling treats such as sprinkled donuts and chocolate muffins at break and lunchtime, and staff have stepped up to volunteer for Beat the Goalie and Sponge the Teacher.
In total, students and staff raised £522.06 – a fantastic achievement.
The amounts raised by individual year groups were as follows:
Well done to year 8 students and staff! All proceeds from our fundraising activities go to our school charity, Ronald McDonald Arrowe Park House.
