Child Development

Why study child development?

Child development is part of the vocational group of subjects in key stage 4. The assignment-based approach supports students in the development of a wide variety of skills, including communication, planning, working to deadlines and presenting information effectively and accurately.

This qualification is of particular interest to students interested in caring for and working with young children. It provides an introduction to some of the key themes in the early years sector, particularly supporting children’s learning and development.
