June is the time of year when we say goodbye to year 11 students after their GCSE exams.
As usual, we said two goodbyes to the students this year – the first, an informal farewell during the week of the final exam.
After joining year leads Mr White and Mr King for an assembly in the main hall, the students made their way out to the field at the front of school for the longstanding tradition of signing shirts and taking photos.
The second farewell was the annual prom, a more formal occasion. It was lovely to spend time reminiscing with the students about the Ridgeway stage of their learning journey, which began in September 2020 – right in the middle of the Covid pandemic.
We will be seeing the year 11s again on results day in August and then at our Ex-Year 11 Awards Evening later this year.
