We were visited by Rebecca Sharples, His Majesty’s Inspector, on 4 May 2023. The purpose of the visit was to check up on our progress since the September 2021 Ofsted inspection.
Key points that the inspector mentions in her feedback are:
- The leadership team are unwavering in their desire to make Ridgeway High School a good school
- Pupils are now remembering what they learn and are developing their understanding across subjects better than they did in the past
- Teachers are becoming increasingly adept at ensuring that pupils remember important subject knowledge
- Pupils spoke positively about the opportunities that they now have to read for pleasure using the newly created ‘Reading Routes’
