Details of Our Staggered Start

We are having a staggered start to the new term. This is to ensure that all students can be tested in school before learning begins. It also means that we can spend time inducting the new year 7s. The testing and return schedule is set out in full below.

Please note that if a year group is in school for testing only, students do not need to wear uniform.

Testing begins at 10am each day. If your child is in school for testing only and has to travel on a school bus, they will be given a space to wait in school until the day’s testing begins.

If you have previously consented to testing, you do not need to consent again.

If you are a new parent or giving your consent for the first time, please use the link in the email we sent out on Tuesday 24 August to complete the consent form. If you did not receive the email or are having problems with the link, please contact the school office.

*Year 8 clarification

We have realised that the testing schedule sent to you by email on 24 August was inaccurate. The DfE guidance states that there should be three to five days between the two lateral flow tests. If your year 8 child attended testing on Tuesday (31 August), they should attend for a second test on FRIDAY (3 September).
