Well done to the students who have helped make Above and Beyond, our year 7 independent learning project in English, such a success this year.
The Above and Beyond challenges have been designed to support independent learning. QR codes take students to websites that will give them ideas on how to tackle the tasks successfully.
Miss Thomas said: “This year saw the launch of our Above and Beyond project and I am delighted with the quality of work that participants have submitted.
“Participation was optional, but lots of students got involved. They took charge of their own learning and produced fantastic entries. It was lovely to gather them together in the refectory for a celebration in the final week of term.
“We are planning to expand the project in September to include both year 7 and year 8. Above and Beyond has proved to be a valuable tool for developing students’ independent learning skills and enriching their academic experience.”
